    Description

This beautiful Pitcher was hand blown by Theodor Rossler whose claim to fame was the unique way he applied enamel glass to hand made glass objects giving it a three dimensional effect similar to cloisonne or layered glass. He developed this technique after WWI and apparently stopped around WWII. This piece shows a Young man sitting on a bench in front of his home holding a pitcher. The background glass is Clear with multiple colors used in the enamel. The gold tracing in the background is intricate and adds a depth that turns this glass into art. It measures 8" tall and about 7" in diameter at the widest point. I did not measure but it will hold about a quart of liquid. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
